It has always been in my heart to care for others and as such that is where my career goals have guided me. After high school, I attended Ohio University where I obtained a B.A. in Psychology and worked several years in the Mid-Ohio Valley in the social service field as a case manager, mental health specialist and chemical dependency counselor.
My interest in bodywork was sparked after personally experiencing its profound transformative effects. I first began taking classes in bodywork in 2002 at the Ohio Institute of Energetic Bodywork and in 2003 obtained an Associate Polarity Practioner Certificate. My interest in bodywork only grew and I began taking classes in massage therapy. I completed the massage therapy program at Washington State Community College and passed the Ohio Medical Board State licensure test in 2006. I have been a practicing licensed massage therapist in Ohio and West Virginia since 2006 and am also a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. I’m always seeking out knowledge to further assist my clients and receive continuing education on a regular basis. I practice a variety of massage therapy modalities including deep tissue massage, swedish massage, neuromuscular techniques, hot and cold stone massage, and polarity therapy.
